"In Memory of Our Fathers"
Logansport, IN
Placed in 1936 by the Mary E. Miller Tent No. 34, Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, this memorial honors the fathers who served the Union during the war of 1861–1865. Groups like the Daughters of Union Veterans kept the memory of that generation alive well into the twentieth century, raising monuments in courthouse squares and parks across the North. Logansport, in north-central Indiana, sent many of its men into Union ranks.
