Wyatt Earp and Josephine Earp
San Bernardino County, CA · est. 1995
Born in Illinois in 1848, Wyatt Earp came west as a boy and made his name as a lawman in Wichita, Dodge City, and Tombstone, where the 1881 gunfight at the O.K. Corral sealed his legend. In later years he prospected the western boom camps and drew income from oil and gold mining, wintering for over two decades near this spot with his wife Josephine; the settlement of Drennan was renamed Earp in his honor in 1930.
